Smoke & Squash - The Making

Just a little blog post and hello from me to introduce Squash & Smoke.

For a long time now, I have wanted to offer some prints that are totally unique one-offs, just as a painter would a painting, and I am thrilled to have finally done it. Which means Squash & Smoke is a very special photograph because it is an edition of one.

I hope you love it as much as I do.

I did take a very amateur video of me setting up the still-life if you fancy watching it. I have edited it quite a bit, firstly because much to my amusement when I watched it back I spotted bits of lego making an appearance courtesy of my ten year old, and secondly because it actually takes a long time to get the details right and no-one wants to watch me continually checking with my camera that things look on screen as they do to the naked eye.

But it gives you a little insight in to some of the process, which I will be sharing more of going forward.
