#aquietstyle
Another month is over, and I am so thankful that it is now the summer holidays. I have been looking forward to them for a while now. That being said, I was slightly taken aback with the mixed feelings I had at the end of term. It seems as though this year has flown by at a rapid rate, and I am not ready for Elvia to go back to school in September as a nearly ten year old, with only two years left of primary school. This will also be the last year that I have Dottie at home, as she will be starting school in September 2017. Elvia's last year, will be Dottie's first. So this summer, as always, I won't be here much, as I want to enjoy every moment with my girls.
But I wanted to post today, to let you know about my aquietstyle hashtag going forward on Instagram. As I mentioned in last month's favourites post, the time has come for a change. I am overwhelmed and honoured by how many people have shared images using my tag, over 109,000 in less than a year, it is quite phenomenal. But it has become a victim of its success, because not only can I no longer keep track of all the posts, it is also being used a bit haphazardly (I am as guilty as the next person of using hashtags a little more than I should, so it is inevitable). So, after much thought, I have decided to add a theme each month to the hashtag. I feel that it will also make it fairer when a prize is on offer, because people will be purposely submitting images rather than randomly sticking the hashtag on the post.
The first month's theme will be flowers, no surprise I'm sure! So if you would like to join me, then please share your photos, using #aquietstyle_flowers during August. As before, #aquietstyle_flowers can be interpreted however you like, as long as it is what you consider to be a peaceful or quiet image, and it contains flowers of course.
I am thrilled to let you know that there is a lovely prize on offer too for this month's favourite, a trio of organic skincare products (Brightening Hot Cloth Cleanser, Facial Oil and Nourishing Rose Day Cream) that are certified for sensitive skin from award-winning Scottish skincare brand Organic Surge.
I look forward to seeing your images.
