Closet & Botts
There is a little town outside Brighton where I live, which I really rather I like. It is called Lewes, and for somewhere that is quite small, along with some gorgeous architecture, and a heap of creatives, it also has a great mix of independent shops, and you know how I love an independent shop! So today, I'm going to share one of them with you, the perfectly enchanting Closet & Botts. Closet & Botts, is owned by Harriet and Chloe, who share a passion for all things vintage and antiques. Friends since the age of 13, they spent many a morning together wondering around flea markets before deciding to turn it into a career, initially dealing in English and European antiques before finding the perfect space, an old pharmacy in Lewes, to open their lovely shop. They fell in love with the space, and it is easy to see why "it has old wooden floor boards, stain glass windows and French doors leading out to a walled garden", the perfect location to display their mix of old, new and handmade pieces.
Chloe and Harriet told me that their ethos for Closet & Botts has always been to create a homely and comfortable atmosphere, displaying products as you would at home, in order to inspire people with ideas on how to create a similar look. They have achieved this perfectly, it really is an inspiring place to visit.
Closet and Botts will be launching their website in February, so keep your eye out, but in the meantime, you can find them here:
