Today I want to introduce you to one of my favourite shops, the gorgeous Flint in Lewes.  Flint is a lifestyle store, that sells beautiful homeware, stylish clothes and flowers, everything I love all rolled into one great little shop!

Flint is owned by mother and daughter, Julia and Heidi and has been going for 11 years now.  It all began when Heidi who studied Art History, and went on to work in art galleries, decided to give her own shop a try after the gallery she loved working in folded.  On hearing that a premises might be coming up in Lewes, she set off on her travels to find treasures to stock, which they stored at Julia's house until the shop was ready to open.  There were literally customers queuing at the doors when they did, and they haven't looked back since!  The original premises became two, but after numerous requests for interior design help, the ladies decided to close the smallest shop to gain back some much needed time to focus on this area.

The interiors side of the business has grown from strength to strength, and is now a big focus for the mother and daughter team, with customers all over the country.  Julia who trained as a florist and according to her daughter is incredibly creative, also does flowers for weddings and events.

Flint pride themselves on the personal service they offer, and rightly so, many of their customers have only visited the store once, but can call up, safe in the knowledge that Heidi will be able to recommend something that suits them and their taste.  Another factor that makes this store feel so special, is the relationship between Julia and Heidi, they obviously love working together and both have a passion for what they do which shines through whenever you visit.  And don't worry, if you can't make it to Lewes, Flint also have a website that you can visit here.
