Outfit Post - Jumpsuit
Hey there, how are you doing? We are all pretty shattered in this house, Dottie is waking up in the night for some reason, which means grumpiness all round! Anyway, enough of my moaning, I've got an outfit post for you today, but one with a bit of a difference! This one is different because its not one you will be able to buy, in fact, its kind of vintage, and I say kind of because the jumpsuit is actually new, but it was made from a vintage vogue pattern by my Mum! Luckily for me, she has a stash of old 80s patterns and when I decided I quite fancied a new jumpsuit I was pretty certain she would have a pattern I liked, and to top it off, she very kindly offered to make it for me, yippee! What I love is that I get loads of compliments about something handmade by my Mum, If I had told anyone that a few years ago I would have been absolutely slated, but thankfully those days are long gone.
I also wanted to show you this outfit because even if you haven't got a talented seamstress in the family, you can still get one-off pieces made quite reasonably and if there is something specific you are after its worth considering. You can often find old patterns at boot fairs and vintage shows.
If you are wondering what's stuck to the cupboards in the background, they are the remains of a little photo shoot I had with the girls earlier, I was trying to get an image for a competition on instagram. It didn't go quite according to plan, I took to using biscuits to get Dottie to sit down for more than 2 seconds, but that being said I think it turned out to be a rather sweet photo, what do you think?
